The Killigans

Lincoln, Nebraska punk band that plays folk-punk, a style of music that combines elements of punk rock and folk, including Celtic. The Killigans started out in Lincoln in 2004 from the ashes of a ska-punk band. If you are familiar with their earlier music, you will likely recognize many of the songs they perform with great abandon on their albums Dance On Your Grave and Another Round for the Strong of Heart. These songs were written during a period when the Killigans were on the road performing their music in bars and for whomever would listen. Their later album, This is Only a Drill, still celebrates their humble beginnings in the state of Nebraska but features more sophisticated music. Inspired by European and Mediterranean folk as well as the works of punk-folk precursors such as The Pogues, the Killigans bring the energy of a folk-punk protest to their live performances.

The Bishops

Omaha's The Bishops are a ska band that have been involved in the global ska scene for over 25 years. Playing all types of ska, rocksteady and reggae, covers and original songs, the band brings a comprehensive knowledge of Jamaican ska and rocksteady to their horn driven music. From covers like "Shot the Sheriff" to their original compositions, the band's authentic sound will transport you to a distant time and place. A true testament to the band's quarter century of touring and performing live.

Alli and I

Lincoln's homegrown Alli and I round out this exciting card with a healthy dose of Americana-punk-folk. You'll fall in love with their anthemic tracks such as Comguarantee (A Cherry Sprite), Studio Apartment and Blue Skies which all exemplify strong songwriting. Their 2017 album "Live in Lincoln" showcases the small, first person experience of their shows. After producing and distributing about 300 copies of their first album, Lincoln has taken notice of their grassroots sound and Lincoln as well as other cities have grown a devoted following for the Nebraska band. Alli and I have now reached the 10 year mark since producing 100% original music since the release of their second album, 5 imaginary years after their sophomore album "Imaginary Hearts", and their music still resonates deeply with your heart.
